Mamenchisaurus= Mamenchi lizard
Codename:Longneck
Diet:herbivore
Lenght: 30 m
Height:6-7 m
Wheight:20 tons
Late Jurassic, 150-145 mya
Area:China

Another big dinosaur that lives on Sorna together with other herbivores but unlike other sauropods like Brachiosaurus, Mamenchisaurus can show bad temper and swing it tail wich made the keepers and rangers wery cautios when approaching it. This dinosaur is also known for having the longest neck (18m ) of any landdwelling animal true time, so the species was a perfect choice for public amusment. The live in small herds often seen with Apatosaurs.

Bad-temperd, can be dangerous.

18 m neck for a 22 m animal? I think you made a typo there, the neck is 90% of the anmals lenght? :P

yeah, JPLegacy says the mamenchi is 30 meters long

but still I think 18m is a typo, I think the real mamenchi has a 11m neck or something

Well, this is puzzling. There was a dinosaur in that Utahraptor novel that was a sauropod with a long whip-like tail, and that tail did some damage, it ended up breaking one of the raptor's backs. The odd part is that I don't know which sauropod it was. The book never confirmed it.

This would be a dangerous combo; a massive animal combined with a bad temper, I bet there have been several accidents.

Are there any Diplodocus in the JP universe? Just wondering since those are the common dinosaurs in the Walking With series (which I've grown to enjoy)

The sauropod in Raptor Red was a late-surviving Apatosaurus-like diplodocid. Probably some species of Apatosaurus itself.

That was a good scene when they showed this dinosaur in the lost world, but it was also cool when the guy on the motorcycle went right between the legs.

Yeah, it's amazing how long their necks were in comparison to their bodies. But I did not know they they had a club tail. I thought that was saltasaurus.
Is there a baryonyx or therizinosaurus in the Jurassic Park books?
