This is perhaps the oddest reptile bred on Isla Sorna, a slender fisheater who lives near rivers, swamps and the sea. They are not very aggressive but one vet got his hand badly injured when a tanystrophes bit him with the needle sharp teeth. They are amphibious and thrives both above and under water, much like a crocodile they move faster in the water but can speed up on short distances on land. The long neck is usefull to catch fish, often seen on rocks near the ocean. Tanystropheus can often be found in same areas as Pteranodons since both animals feed on same prey. They were moved to Nublar aswell but never got a complete enclosure before the incident 1993.

Can be aggressive if angerd or irritated.
